Cornerstone Communicatin Guidelines
Matthew 18:15-17 (New International Version)
(15) If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over. (16) But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that 'every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.' (17) If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector.
- If I have a problem with another person, i will go to that person privately. If I have a problem with a Cornerstone board, committee, or team, I will go privately to a member of that board, committee, or team. If I have a problem with a Cornerstone ministry, I will go privately to the leader of that ministry.
- If individuals have a problem with me or an area in which I serve, I want them to come to me privately, and I will try to be open when they come.
- If someone has a problem with me or an area in which I serve, and comes to you, send that person to me. I'll do the same for you.
- If someone hesitates to come to me, "et's go together." I'll do the same for you.
- Be careful how you interpret me - I'd rather do that. I will be careful how I interpret you.
- If it is confidential, I won't tell (unless someone is harming himself or someone else.
- I won't send or pay attention to unsigned letters or notes. Information should always travel with a person's name so it can be cleared up if necessary.
- I will not manipulate; I will not be manipulated.
- When in doubt, I will bring up my concern or question.
- I will do my best to prayerfully follow the guidelines of Matthew 18:15-17; however, if my issue continues to be unresolved, I may seek advice from the Deacon Board.
