Adult Bible Fellowship Classes Summer Schedule
Celebrate Recovery taught by Tom Carlson (Prayer Room)
Based on principles found in the Beatitudes, Celebrate Recovery is a program that can help us address and overcome our hurts, hang-ups, and habits. No one - Christian or non-Christian, is immune to dysfunctional, compulsive, and/or addictive behaviors. However, this program offers a biblical and practical process to surrender control of our lives to God and bring us healing and wholeness. Our classes will include audio sermons by Rick Waren and workbook material developed by John Baker of Saddleback Church. Just as important to those items will be open, honest, and confidential discussions. The number of participants in this class will be limited. Please contact John Carlson with questions and/or to reserve your place.
The Invisible War taught by Gaylon & Andrea Ideker (ROCK 212)
The Bible is clear: if you are a Christian, you are at war. But our approach to spiritual warfare usually falls into one of two extremes - either we place an undue emphasis on Satan and his powers or we completely ignore the existence of a personal enemy. The Invisible War offers believers a balanced look at what the Bible says on the subject. Based on Paul's teaching in Ephesians 6, The Invisible War shows every believer what we need to know about Satan, demons, and spiritual warfare. Find out how to: prepare yourself for spiritual battle, cultivate invincible faith, and find freedom from demonic influence. DVDs are used in class; Workbook - required and available for purchase at first class $10. If you cannot afford the $10 let Gaylon or Andrea know.
The Holy Spirit taught by Pastor Scott (ROCK 215)
Pastor Scott will ble leading a class that will study biblical teaching on the Person and Ministry and Gifts of the Holy Spirit. We will discuss biblical texts from the Old Testament, Gospels, Acts, and Epistles. We will look at the indwelling, guiding, sanctifying, and empowering ministries of the Spirit with a goal toward becoming spiritually dynamic Christians.
CLASS 101-401 Offered this summer as an ABF Elective!
Christian Life and Service Seminars is Cornerstone's program to help you grow. This baseball diamond is a great picture of what Cornerstone desires to do. We desire to take a person from the batter's box all the way around the bases in the Christian life. We want to prepare you to be all that God wants you to be and do. Christian Life and Service Seminars consist of four classes - 101, 201, 301, and 401. Each CLASS gets you to the next base on the diamond.

Q&A
How will the CLASS schedule work?
We have designed the schedule so that you are able to complete all the CLASSes in one summer. We invite you to come and attend the CLASSes you need when they arrive on the calendar. Let's say you are already a member - you can attend CLASS 201 beginning on July 4th and follow it through the summer until completion of 401. Prior to CLASS 201 we encourage you to be in another elective for the month of June. Or say you have completed CLASS 201 at an earlier date. You can take another elective until August 1st. That Sunday you would start attending CLASS 301 until the completion of 401. Take as many CLASSes as you want this summer. If you can only take one CLASS this summer, that is fine too. Each CLASS will take four weeks to complete (except 401).
Do I have to be a member before taking CLASS 201-401?
Membership is required before taking CLASS 201-401. However, this summer we are going to allow you to take all the CLASSes if you commit to becoming a member before taking CLASS 201 (to finalize it by September 2010).
Who are the teachers for CLASS 101-401?
Pastor Mark and Andrea Ideker will be the main teachers with Pastor Scott participating in certain sections.
How do I sign up for a particular CLASS?
Just let Pastor Mark know in advance via phone or e-mail. CLICK HERE
